The S4520 is the read-optimized tier of Intel's final SATA generation (the S4620 adds higher write endurance at 3 DWPD). It also ships as the 960GB (SSDSC2KB960GZ01) for boot roles — same platform, roughly half the price. The direct Samsung alternative is the PM893 1.92TB at 1.3 DWPD.
