128GB DDR4-3200 LRDIMM - Module
An LRDIMM carries more DRAM packages and a data buffer that isolates the memory bus from the rank load, which is what allows capacities a registered DIMM cannot reach. The package count across the module is the visible difference from an RDIMM. 128GB DDR4-3200 LRDIMM - Label
The label states the organisation, and on a load-reduced part that is the entry that matters: 4DRx4 marks a quad-rank load-reduced module, which is what a 128GB DDR4 part almost always is. It is read and checked against your order before shipment. Photo: ITEagle Europe - Sebastiaan Broekhoven, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0).

LRDIMM is not a premium version of RDIMM, it is a different solution to a specific problem. A registered DIMM loads the memory bus with every rank it carries, and past a certain number of ranks the platform has to slow the whole channel down. A load-reduced DIMM puts a buffer between the DRAM and the bus, which is what makes 128GB on a single module practical at 3200. The trade is cost: per gigabyte, LRDIMM sits above RDIMM, so it only makes sense when you are out of DIMM slots or the node genuinely needs the capacity. Buy LRDIMM to reach 3TB in a 2U, not to save money. Two further points before you order: quad-rank parts impose population limits, so mixing them freely with dual-rank modules can force a lower speed, and some platforms require LRDIMM to be populated in a specific order. Give us the server model and the target capacity and we will tell you what we would fit. Full server memory range. Transparent Pricing
2026 Reference Pricing by Configuration
We do not publish a fixed price for LRDIMM. High-capacity DDR4 moved with the rest of the memory market through 2026, and 128GB parts move in smaller volumes than mainstream densities, so the price is a live number rather than a list number. Every module is quoted against the stock we can confirm for your quantity at the rate in force that day. Tell us quantity and server model and we will put a firm figure in writing with the date it holds until.
Single Modules
On Request
Individually checked 128GB modules, new or pull condition stated before you commit. Quoted against live stock.
Matched Kits (8 or 16 DIMMs)
On Request
Full channel population from one lot at one organisation, so a memory-dense build is not assembled from mixed batches.
Volume Orders (25+ modules)
On Request
Batch quantities consolidated from our Hong Kong warehouse, with freight, packing and any export paperwork quoted alongside.
No price is published on this page. Send quantity, server model and target capacity and we quote against live stock at the rate in force. If 64GB RDIMM modules already reach your capacity target, tell us and we will price that instead, because it is usually the cheaper route. Quality Process
What We Check Before a 128GB LRDIMM Ships
Part Number and Organisation Read
The label is read and photographed, and the part number, capacity and organisation are checked against your order. On a load-reduced module the organisation entry is the one that decides platform fit, so it is verified first rather than assumed from capacity.
Quad-Rank Population Check
Because 128GB DDR4 parts are quad-rank, we confirm the planned population against the platform's rules before shipping, rather than after a customer finds the channel has dropped to a lower speed.
Buffer and Register Inspection
The data buffer and register area are inspected under magnification. These are the components unique to an LRDIMM and the ones most often damaged on pulled high-capacity modules.
SPD Read
SPD is read on a test platform to confirm the module reports the capacity, rank and speed it should, since a high-capacity module that reports the wrong organisation will not train.
Serial Logging
Serial numbers are recorded per module before packing, which matters more at this density: a mixed shipment of 128GB parts is an expensive error to trace after the fact.
Report in the Box
Every unit ships with its per-machine diagnostic report and warranty. Full process: inspection guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a 128GB DDR4-3200 LRDIMM cost?
We quote it against live stock rather than publish a figure. 128GB parts move in smaller volumes than mainstream densities and the 2026 memory market repriced quickly, so a list number would be unreliable. Send quantity and server model and you get a firm number in writing with the date it holds until.
Do I need LRDIMM, or will RDIMM do?
Only go LRDIMM if you need the capacity per slot. If 64GB RDIMM modules reach your target, they will cost less per gigabyte and are simpler to populate. LRDIMM earns its premium when you are slot-limited and need 128GB or more per DIMM, or when the platform requires load-reduced memory for the population you have planned.
Can I mix 128GB LRDIMM with 64GB RDIMM in the same server?
Not on the same channel, and on many platforms not in the same server. A channel populated with a mixture of registered and load-reduced modules will typically fail to train or fall back to a much lower speed. If you are extending an existing server, tell us exactly what is fitted and we will tell you what can be added safely.
How much memory can a two-socket server take with these?
It depends on the platform rather than the module. A 3rd Gen Xeon Scalable 2U with 32 DIMM slots takes 4TB at 128GB per DIMM, while a 16-slot platform takes 2TB. Tell us the model and we will work out the populated capacity and the speed you will actually see, since the two are linked once you fill every slot with quad-rank parts.
Are these modules new or pulled?
Both are available and the condition is stated line by line before you order, never after. New modules carry the manufacturer warranty process; pulls are tested and carry our own 1 year written warranty. At this density we would always recommend confirming condition in writing before committing, and we state it on the quote by default.
